New Year's crop at TSF

Despite the fact that my head felt like a football I attended the New Year's crop at TSF yesterday. I wasn't optomistic about getting much done but did in fact finish 2 double pages and almost finished a single too! I'm not able to show you both doubles here as one has mysteriously disappeared (you just might see it show up as a kit at TSF in the not too distant future!).
On this layout I used the new Origins from Basic Grey. There are so many amazing prints and of course my favourite, double sided pages! When I was distressing the edges of the brown paper I put a huge rip in it...we've all been there right? Well I went with it and did some intentional tearing around the paper. I added some bella dots (love these!) to the flowers and glimmer mist to the kaisercraft letters. I added some green floss stitiching and some raffia tied to the torn paper.

Had some scraps left that worked perfectly for mother-in-laws birthday card!

While there I made another layout for my friend's baby gift. I'm having a lot of fun working on it and it's an easy project to bring with me to crops. I cut out the animal/flower print from a 12X12 sheet and spread it across the double page. I added brads as flower centers and a few rub on stitches, flowers and words.

I spent this afternoon sorting through things in my scraproom and I'm hoping that being really organized will inspire me. I'll be surprised if it last a week!

Your layouts are great, Shelby. The tears that are stitched back together look great - funny how accidents bring about great end products!
And the baby page is so cute.
Where are you finding rub-on stitches? THanks!

Ann, the stitches are (of course) from TSF. I've seen them there for awhile and finally picked up a pack and now I use them on everything!! They go on so easily you can almost rub them with your finger. I don't sew very often so this is how I cheat!

So glad you joined us for the crop. It was great to watch you create and I am sorry that I scooped up that layout on you. I will try to take a photo of it for you so you can add to this wonderful collection.

I love that birthday card you created!
