Can I have a snack?

I'm pretty sure I hear these words about 25 times a day. I really dislike the word 'snack' because it's the first word I hear every morning. I know that with two growing-like-weeds boys that they are soon going to eat me out of house and home but seriously are they never full??? I try to limit their sugary snacks, easy on the cookies etc and fill them up with fruit, yogurt etc. Wyatt's favourite snack right now is apples and peanut butter and Holden loves his strawberries. I'm grateful that they love fruit. At least they are getting to an age where they can get most snacks themselves so long as I leave them prepared in the fridge. I can't imagine what their teen years are going to be like. I'm going to have to work nights just to pay the grocery bill!

What do your kids like to snack on??

Great post! I love the photos -- especially the last photo of your youngest with his hat pulled down - too cute! It is great that they will eat healthy snacks. When they are teens it is a huge battle with the junk food!

What sweet photos of your adorable boys. You are correct.....they will eat you out of house and home. Enjoy the fruit stage for now....the junk food will be right around the corner.

Snacks...let me see what do you call the constant eating for the growing weeds? I'm pretty lucky right now, Emma (4 1/2) will eat pita & hummous or veggies & dip as well as fruit etc. And Austin (21 mos)likes his fruit (bananas, blueberries best) but really wants whatever his sister has, whether he likes it or not.
