So I got a virus. Well I didn't get the virus, my computer did. I used to have really strong anti-virus protection but switched it not too long ago and it seems that one got through and now my computer is frozen. Thankfully I have a laptop a friend lent me so I can still access the internet [otherwise it would really be a crisis!!! ;)] and do the basic things I need to do. My fil is a computer 'genius' and will fix it when he gets back from Greece next month. In the mean time I'll have to get by.
Now, more than ever I wish I understood computers more. I only know basics, none of the behind the scenes stuff at all. Perhaps I need to take a few computer courses. Hmmm, something to think about.

what antivirus were you running?
The Rogers one. I used to have a Sophos one from fil's work but he couldn't use it anymore since he retired. He's going to install something new when he gets home.
I feel your pain. I am pretty lucky. My hubby is my computer genius and he is available all the time. Hopefully you can manage with the laptop until yours gets fixed.
Oh, that totally sucks!! I'm so sorry to hear, I hope you backed everything up...
